Where is the Crowne Plaza Shanghai Hotel?
Located where you step out onto Nanjing Rd from the back exit of the hotel this was an ideal base to explore Shanghai.
Only a few minutes walk to the train, People Square and approximately 15 minutes walk to the Bund down Nanjing Rd to see the beautiful lights of Shanghai.
There are several small tram style vehicles in the middle of Nanjing Rd, for 10 Yuen it takes you quite a distance down Nanjing Rd and stops only a 100mt from this hotel so good for tired feet after exploring.
Also only a few minutes to a Big Red Bus stop if you want to do a hop on hop off tour.
A luxurious Shanghai Hotel
The hotel is luxury from the lobby to the decor and the spotlessly clean and well maintained rooms.
What is a Crowne Plaza Shanghai Hotel room like?
1 bedroom suite which had a separate lounge area. (The lounge was also a sofa bed)
Bedroom has 1 large bed or you can request a twin style room without the lounge.

These rooms are very quiet, can’t hear the lift or people in other rooms.
What is a Crowne Plaza Shanghai Hotel breakfast like?
Buffet breakfast had a good selection, fruit, bacon, eggs, pastries, breads, coffee, juices. Western and non-Western options. Can also take a coffee with you in a travel cup.
Do they speak English at the Crowne Plaza Nanjing Road Hotel?
Staff spoke quite good English in the restaurant and at the lobby.
Is there a pool and gym at the Crowne Plaza Shanghai Hotel?
Great gym and indoor pool.
The Crown Plaza would be my go-to hotel on returning to Shanghai.
How far is the Crowne Plaza Nanjing Road from the airport?
Around 40-45 minutes to Pudong Airport cost $40 by taxi
